Every now and then you stumble across a piece of furniture that takes your breath away. For me, it was this dining table. It looked a work of art in the photos and we all know that when shopping online one could never tell (is it possible to be catfished by furniture? Because that happened to me more times than I can count). After watching the price for months, I finally bought it. Now that I’ve lived with it for half of a year here’s my honest, unaffiliated, non-sponsored review of it.
Quality
The Andrews table arrived in all of its 60 inch, solid wood splendor. The quality is unmatched; it really does look just like the photos. I opted to get the custom glass top from Ballard Designs which I recommend (read on for more details on that). Its pedestal shape is timeless, stunning and truly versatile enough to work with so many different interior design styles. It’s very heavy and its high quality can be distinguished from both up close and far. Unfortunately, a hairline crack developed in the pedestal but it’s a common occurrence for solid wood pieces.

Color
The surface is a beautiful whitewashed wood which presents as an off-white oyster color in natural light. It has the tiniest streaks of gray, but from afar it reads off white. It’s a gorgeous backdrop for white plates, allowing them to stand out. For reference, my floors are a cool toned grayish brown. I can also see it working well with warmer woods too (the table would look stunning on white oak floors). The surface color is reminiscent of ancient Greek statues.
Glass topper
Ballard Designs gives you the option to order a custom glass top for the table. Overall, I recommend it but there are a few drawbacks to it. First, it scratches very easily. Second, it has a slight green tint to it. Most glass out there has that tint, although keep in mind it affects how the actual table color appears. The glass topper is not attached, so it slides easily.

Chairs
I found stunning cane chairs online to match my bright & airy look. They are reasonably priced, and the quality exceeded my expectations. Like the table, they are solid wood (a pale warm tone) with a beautiful medium denim blue seat. To protect the seats from toddlers, I found waterproof slip-on covers from Amazon that fit like a fitted sheet. I chose neutral beige as they didn’t have blue. The cane backing seems sturdy, with minor imperfections in the weaving. Here’s a helpful tip: if you’re ever unsure about a chair, order just one at first. This way, if you decide you want to return it, you’ll only have to deal with just one return fee instead of multiple!
